CIB Operations Transformation

The CIB Operations Transformation Group is responsible for delivering key programs and capabilities focused on efficient and scalable infrastructure, exceptional client service, best-in class controls and a solid foundation for commercializing our firm's assets.

The Markets Post-Trade Transformation team is accountable for transforming the foundational services required to support the CIB's securities and cash processing capabilities, as well as delivering key securities, cash, collateral and margin platform replacement programs.

Job Description

The successful candidate will join a global team focused on delivering a multi-year collateral transformation programme spanning business, operating model, platform, and market infrastructure deliverables across CIB Markets and Securities Services. Key projects include technology replatforming, enabling business growth, and delivering against key regulatory changes including Non-Cleared Derivatives Margining rules (NCMR).

The role is part of a global team across UK, India, and the US, co-located with key Operations and business stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, and partnering with key technology partners to ensure first-time quality through Agile software delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter and enjoy taking initiative. You will need to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, creating a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities will include


  • Supporting the build out of best-in-class program management and portfolio governance capabilities across the team including the automation of governance artifacts
  • Supporting the running of Project Control Committee (PCC), Steering Committee and Portfolio Governance Committee.
  • Supporting deep-dives into specific projects and workstreams as required to ensure plans have been defined and are on track.

Skills Required / To Be Developed


  • Project management and/or Program Office experience: prior experience of front-to-back change and structured project delivery; outcome-focused and able to deal with changing priorities and external factors.
  • Highly organized: ability to organize oneself and others; detail-oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control and with outstanding time management.
  • Excellent communicator: strong presentation (oral and written), analytical and influencing skills; able to flex message and style based on audience (e.g. seniority) and setting (formal vs collaborative)
  • Trusted partner: able to leverage Project Management/Program Office expertise in driving solutions, and/or influencing decisions/direction with business, stakeholders and technology; ability to build effective relationships required to leverage parts of the organization as required.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience in Microsoft SharePoint, Tableau & Data Analytics tools.
