Salesforce Administrator at Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Job Description:






 



POSITION PURPOSE



Salesforce Administrator is the senior technician for the GPYMCA Salesforce org and all connected applications. Works with the guidance and direction of a Systems Business Enablement team to translate business requirements into requested fixes, updates and new capabilities. Works closely with GPY IT Team, Software vendors, Project Managers, and YMCA Leadership to maintain, transform, and develop code, processes, and practices that deliver desired business functionality.  Maintain documentation business requirements and issues and participates on the planning, development, and implementation of applications and improvements. Together with IT, NetSuite, PBCS, and Dayforce Administrators, and Vendors participates in Systems projects, administration, and change management.  Participates in and leads admin and user training to ensure effective support, solid development practices, and to bring users up to pace with new installations or system changes. 



 



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



·         Participate in design, testing, and maintenance of interfaces that include Salesforce data objects. 



·         Leads the design of changes to implement new features and interfaces, version and update releases.  



·         Work with interdisciplinary Systems Administrators and Operations teams and documents and communicates effectively with Project Managers, software developers, and subject matter experts at the GPY. 



·         Coaches and collaborates with other System Administrators to build organizational knowledge, best practices, and a culture of performance. 



·         Participates in change and release management. 



·         Maintain a detailed understanding of the data model, structure and interactions between systems to ensure data integrity, add new features, and to identify and resolve errors. 



·         Identifies database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems. 



·         Evaluates and recommends solutions and Salesforce partners and applications that support both the GPY’s strategic and known requirements. 



·         Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements. 



·         Works cross functionally and across other systems to provide training; best practices, document systems and solutions; and ensures data integrity. 



·         Supports data cleanliness and integrity by designing and scripting utilities. 



·         Maintains system documentation (e.g., business requirements, functional specifications, customizations) and libraries in secure and organized manner 



·         Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. 



·         Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. 



·         Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 



·         Participates in Service Desk response, resolution, and root cause analysis. 



·         Collaborates with other administrators of all production systems which include: Salesforce, TechShare Avocado Rec, NPSP, TechShare Engage, Marketing Cloud, ZenDesk, ePACT, Y-USA Nationwide Membership, Drupal, and Tadpoles. 



·         Installs and maintains Salesforce apps and tools including Dataloader.io, Twilio, Trailtracker, and FormStack. 



·         Takes snapshots of data to facilitate reporting  



·         Develops enhancements using web forms, AI, triggers, Visual Work Flows, and process builder. 



·         Manage the SalesForce enhancements and release roadmap and related black-out periods 



·         Facilitates data management, validation, and transformations for data integrity, health, and integration maintenance. 



·         Responds to and works to resolve escalated support tickets from the Avocado Help Desk. 



 



ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS




  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


  • Knowledge of Salesforce administration including Lightning, SOQL/SOSL, and Dataloader. 


  • Experience with VisualForce, Apex, Lightning Web components, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Python, Java, Angular, Microsoft SQL, and Dell Boomi a plus. 


  • Demonstrated understanding about data security including handling of personal, sensitive, health, and highly confidential data. 


  • Has either substantial experience or one or more of the following Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Developer, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer II. 


  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

    Essential Duties and Responsibility Addition for All Staff:



    In order to ensure the health and wellness of the employees, members, and visitors of the GPY YMCA and all locations where GPY YMCA operates business, in addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed on your current job description, the following are additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time where appropriate during the COVID-19 pandemic or any pandemic/communicable disease where the duties are appropriate. These additions are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned and required as needed:




    • Enhanced cleaning in areas where the employee is not directly/normally assigned as well as normally assigned areas. All employees are expected to assist in and support the efforts of the GPY YMCA when it comes to health and wellness for the facility and other locations where the GPY YMCA conducts business. All employees are expected to wipe machines, screens, computers, or anything that is used after they use it, all employees are expected to wash their hands on a frequent basis (recommended every 30 minutes if possible), and use hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available.


    • Temperature Taking/Wellness Questionnaire Taking Assignments


    • Directing Members/Visitors in areas where the employee is both normally and not normally assigned


    • The employee may be assigned to areas other than their normally assigned area as needed to meet organizational needs. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, being assigned areas to count people, help direct flow of traffic in an area, being assigned to a specific area to assist with doors, and any other duty as needed by the organization.


    • All other duties as assigned as it relates to COVID-19 or other communicable disease and/or pandemic.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.  Some travel is required between locations and for meetings. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach, and must be able to move around the work environment.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.

      Acquire and maintain the following certifications:




    • CPR/AED/O2/First Aid obtained through the American Red Cross (valid 2 years)


    • Requisite OSHA online trainings (valid 1 year unless otherwise noted)


    • Mandated Reporter Training (valid 5 years)


    • Additional training and development specific to your role as reference in onboarding packet.
