Registered Nurse (RN) - Lindner Center of HOPE - Adult Mental Health-Part Time Nights at Lindner Center of Hope in Mason, Ohio

Job Description:

Title: RN, Adult Mental Health

Location: Lindner Center of HOPE, Mason Ohio

Department: Adult South

Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am

Hours: 24 per week

Primary Purpose: The registered nurse competently performs nursing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation on individuals and groups of individuals, as related to their identified needs. This nursing process is ongoing, modified based on changes in condition, and views patient and family as one unit. The registered nurse is able to competently manage care through others via delegation. The registered nurse must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, families and other health care personnel in order to function as a patient/family advocate. After orientation, the registered nurse may be assigned to assume "charge" responsibilities on a unit for a specific shift to supervise the care given by other nursing personnel. The registered nurse is conscious of cost effectiveness in patient care. Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

Years of Experience: At least 1 year of Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing preferred but not required. Desire to work in Mental Health.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Mental Health expereice preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Current Ohio licence or interim permit as a Registered Nurse. Additional credentials for special care units as identified in special care manuals. Psychiatric/Mental Health board certification preferred.
