If you are a Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Cudahy, Wisconsin location, you will perform basic laboratory tasks on rotating equipment's (reciprocating and single screw compressors) to assist in the completion of engineering project assignments. You will ensure mechanical operations and standards are maintained at high quality. You will resolve and troubleshoot mechanical problems with the help of the project engineers. You will effectively communicate the status of project assignment to project engineers and/or supervisors. You will uses good judgment to manage risk and solve problems while complying with company safety guidelines and procedures. AS A LAB TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: 

• Perform basic laboratory tasks to assist in the completion of engineering project assignments
• Effectively communicate the status of project assignment to project eng. and/or supervisor
• Setup test equipment and run the tests, supplying adequate results to the engineering department
• Assemble and disassemble reciprocating and rotary compressors
• Interact with global teams in the US, Europe, and India.

SCHEDULE:
The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7 am – 5 pm and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world. Typical start times for this position will be between 6:30AM and 7:30AM.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Associate degree with two to five (2-5) years experience in the mechanical field
• Good troubleshooting mechanical skills and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• PC Skills
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
• Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

• Mechanical aptitude (able to work and understand rotating equipment)
• Good mechanical problem solving skills
• Team player
• Basic refrigeration knowledge a plus
• Welding knowledge a plus
