Quality Carriers is currently searching for a Manager of Tax for our Headquarters in Tampa Fl. This position’s primary emphases will be the preparation of the Interim & Annual Income Tax Provision for all the domestic and foreign subsidiaries including financial statements reporting and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP in addition to managing the domestic and foreign income tax compliance. 

Responsibilities include:   


  • Prepare quarterly and annual global tax provision/forecasted global tax provision and effective tax rate calculations in accordance with ASC 740.


  • Manage other provision projects including FIN 48 & FAS 5 calculations, state provision, technical memos and tax research, GILTI, BEAT, etc;




  • Prepare and/or review and file consolidated US federal tax returns, including Forms 5471/8858 and multi-state tax returns including elections.



  • Assist with the global statutory compliance and manage foreign income tax compliance for the jurisdictions where the company operates (with the help of the foreign consultants);

  • Participate and/or manage income tax audits – domestically and internationally

  • Maintain professional affiliations with external (domestic and foreign)consultants; interface directly with the public accountants/ tax counsel on technical advice

  • Assist with cross border transfer pricing and operating guidelines for services between the company subsidiaries (BEPS reporting included)

  • Assist with special projects such as tax planning, accounting methods, and tax due diligence efforts on M&A activities

  • Respond to all correspondence received i.e. questionnaires, inquiries, notices & annual filings with various federal and state agencies.

  • Complete special projects as needed

Required Skills and Knowledge:



  • Proficiency with ASC 740 (FAS 109) and ASC 450 (FAS 5) and good understanding of the US compliance



  • Multi-tasking and project management skills

  • Proficiency with Federal, State, Taxation; US multinational corporate experience preferred

  • Good understanding of SOX standards

  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

 


  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPA, CMA and a Master’s degree in Tax/Accountancy highly desirable. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.

  •  At least 5 years of tax experience in public accounting or in a highly complex multinational environment is required.

  • Must possess expertise in federal, state, and international tax.
