Strategy, Innovation, and Execution Brand Manager

Job Description

The Strategy, Innovation, and Execution Brand Manager reports to the Senior Brand Manager of Strategy & Innovation to ensure consumer, customer and category insights along with emerging trends are being used to build and support the development of 3 to 5 year strategic business plans, innovation, and claims pipelines across Family Care Rolled Product Brands.  When necessary the role will flow to work to also support the HHC execution team with delivery of current year business goals.

Specific Responsibilities: Strategy & Innovation


  • Supports development of the SBP plan for Rolled Products, collaborating with the cross functional team to ensure holistic representation of the business.  This includes full SBP delivery of assessment through P&L creation.


  • Helps to create and maintain the rolling 5-year Innovation Portfolio Pathway for HHC, assuring the consumer is at the heart of everything we do.


  • Disciplined focus on growing HHC equity and leadership within the Demand Spaces we want to own.


  • Develops HHC claims strategy and pathway – starting with lighthouse claims, and back casting into specific claims that we want to achieve by certain years (which will become the brief for the R&E Front End Innovation (FEI) teams to get after solving through invention).



  • Provide marketing leadership over various rolled products IMF projects, ensuring a seamless transition to the commercialization and launch team (typically at BFI).



    • Lead concept and claim development and validation for entry into IMF process


    • Lead quantitative assessment of innovation & concepts (e.g. BASES) for assessment in IMF process ( pre-BFI).




  • Collaborates across the KCNA and Global peers to both adopt and scale best practices in the strategy and innovation space.


Specific Responsibilities: HHC Execution Team Flow to Work Responsibilities


  • Support delivery of current year ABP plans, including but not limited to the S&OP cycle, marketing execution, IMF project execution.


  • Provide coaching, guidance to Sr ABM, ABM team members on execution of their daily and project responsibilities.


  • Own special, standalone projects required to deliver current year business goals including but not limited to PPA/RGM, competitive response, and business/SPDM analysis.


Rolled Product S&I

Build Great Plans 2021+


  • Lead and execute IC SBP


  • Lead 3 year innovation & claim pipeline inclusive of packaging


  • Lead IC IMF Projects to BFI


  • Global IC Lead: NA lead in defining global BFTs and implementation of global initiatives ( sustainability, etc.)


  • IC Brand lead in segmentation JTBD business implementation


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/related field and minimum 3-5 years prior marketing experience in brand management with CPG Company.


  • Solid understanding of brand foundational tools, consumer insight identification, segmentation and target development.


  • Solid understanding of annual business planning, budget setting, and subsequent execution of those plans to delivery results.


  • Ability to pull insights from multiple sources and synthesize into a compelling story for change.


  • High familiarity with strategy development and innovation processes.


  • Strong skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities.


  • Ability to craft vision and strategy and make it come to life with actionable plans.


  • Strong analytical, decision making, influence, and compelling communication skills.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross functional teams to deliver strong innovation plans.


  • Highly capable of writing/evaluating initiative and communications briefs and concept development.


  • Entrepreneur can-do attitude to find ways to break down growth barriers.


  • Demonstrated positive energy to effectively represent brand internally and externally.
