Performs wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operates equipment in performing ion implantation. Performs job function in compliance with Corporate Safety Standards and in support of the Corporate Quality Policy and key Quality objectives.
Primary responsibilities:
Tool Qualification - Becomes certified on at least two toolsets and the associated metrology equipment. Performs and verifies equipment set-ups and qualifications on more than two toolsets without supervision.
Systems - Identifies specification discrepancies and Automation problems.
Production Processing - Identifies and uses necessary equipment, tools, and materials to run production processes.
Resolves supply issues of support materials (test wafers, etc.).
Training Mentors new operators in training. Acts as a \"go-to\" person for answers to questions. Takes initiative to share knowledge.
Goals and Metrics- Understands optimization of workflow and time management. Reads interpret and act on job-related charts, graphs, metrics, and specifications. Formulates a plan to meet production goals.
Communication - Demonstrates effective use of written and verbal skills to communicate routine technical and non-technical information.
Problem-solving and Decision Making - Participates in routine problem solving including taking steps to prevent reoccurrence.
Teamwork and Leadership - Organizes shift pass-down discussions with cross-functional participation. Participates in Quality teams and uses 8D methods. Initiates projects and activities in a team environment.

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
Experience:
Minimum A minimum of 2 years industry (fab/semiconductor) experience or equivalent or 1 year of experience in ion implantation is preferred.
