Basic Functions:
Performs engineering activities for design, development, and implementation of new products and manufacturing processes. Supports project engineers, program management and operations personnel on assigned projects.
Position Requires:
Education/Learning Experience
Minimum BS in Engineering or related discipline, preferably in physics, optics, materials science, electrical or mechanical engineering. Master's Preferred.
Work Experience
0 - 3 Years Project Engineering experience (entry level position), with software, automation & robotics. Experience with Optical Fabrication, Optical Design, Optical Assembly, Optical Test, and CAD capabilities preferred.
Skills/Knowledge
Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
Computer skills in work processing and spreadsheet software, including MS Word, Excel, Access, some CAD (Solidworks preferred) and some FEA (Cosmos preferred), to support requirements for technical reports and analytical studies
Strong analytical, fault isolation, and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
