Job Description:

This job requires that an individual come into contact with raw materials, products, equipment / machines, software or technology controlled by the Export Administration Regulations or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. The job must be filled by a U.S. person, or a person for whom a valid export control license, or exception, has been obtained or is not required from the U.S. Government.

Basic Function of the Job:

Execute projects and continuously improve manufacturing operations. Assess and prevent quality risk while minimizing negative impact on revenue and deliveries. Standardize and improve equipment, processes and process documentation. Support and lead department projects towards cost saving, quality improvement and capacity/capability expansion. Provide technical assistance to department, company, off shore operations, as well as Manufacturing. Provide cost analysis of department parameters to determine target projects for further cost reduction. Provide technical expertise in the field of ceramics, material science, and manufacturing engineering for technical problem solving, process trouble shoot-ing and new part or vendor qualification projects. Play a role in customer issues including failure analysis, statistical data review and interpretation utilizing real world practical experiments to isolate root cause and corrective actions.

Education:


  • BS degree in Engineering. (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science or Ceramics Engineering preferred)

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in manufacturing utilizing process control methodology
    3-5 years' experience direct manufacturing process engineering
    3-5 years off-shore operations support experience in Asia

Special Abilities:

  • As a part of a team or independently set up and coordinate technical meetings on the subject matter of expertise, follow up current literature on the subject critical to manufacturing operations and future development and innovation
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SQL Data base, Minitab, Email, internet access
  • Test expertise to achieve manufacturing excellence
