Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assemble mechanical parts to build automated system
  • Wire the electrical components and instrument
  • Install software, calibrate and test the system, and support and maintain existing production equipment.

Education & Experience

  • 2 year Associates Degree required
  • 5 years' experience required

Skills

  • The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in equipment mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Must be handy and have good hand/eye coordination and be detail oriented.
  • Need to be able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams related to the job, and have some computer skills.
  • The technician will interact closely with other team members and engineers.
  • Must be able to take feedback, learn quickly, and communicate clearly.
  • You will be involved in building sophisticated systems where your feedback as you help assemble parts will be critical to the system development.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
