Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Java Software Engineerfor Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, Iowa you will....

join a team of passionate developers and testers to design, develop, test, and integrate applications of high complexity. We operate in a collaborative, open environment focused on using XP development techniques to autonomously deliver solutions quickly and effectively.In addition, you will:

• Work across teams to create coding standards, workflow, or tool standards using Java, JavaScript, and AWS technologies in an Agile environment
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to other teams required to generate working software.
• Interface regularly with our customers to ensure you are producing technical solutions that meet their needs.
• Lead a culture of software crafting best practices across teams, including Test Driven Development, Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

• Extensive experience as a Sr. Java Developer working with a team on XP practices like pair/mob programming, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
• Extensive Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD)
• Experience training and mentoring other developers in growing their skills
• Experience with Java
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)

• 5-7+ years of Java development experience at the enterprise level
• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Ability to gather requirements and interface with stakeholders
• Strong experience with Oracle
• Experience with JavaScript / React
• Experience with API Design in REST or GraphQL

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
