Quality Control Tech I at Healthy Pet in Jesup, Georgia

Job Description:

Healthy Pet in Jesup, GA has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Tech I to join our team on the night shift!

This is an entry level position - the ideal candidate will have previous QC/QA experience, but we are willing to train the right person! The QC Tech I will assist in a variety of product testing procedures in evaluation of existing products along with products in various stages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tests daily finished goods and products to assure that it meets essential quality standards.


• Monitors and logs a wide range of quality attributes including but not limited to; bag dimensions, moisture, odor, recovered volume, bag weight, texture, color, bag seals, foreign objects, etc.


• Duties may involve the use of small analytical machines or devices to evaluate product quality or to quantify environmental compliance. Equipment may include; PH meter, rotap machine, high temperature ovens, various scales, moisture analyzers, etc. Tests may include; bulk density, moisture content, dust evaluation, recovered volumes, fob sizes, bag weights, etc.


• Compares results to acceptable standards and communicates discrepancies of finished product in timely manner as detected.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma (Associates (A.A.) degree - preferred)


• Prior QA/QC experience or training (preferred)


• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
