Horizon Industries Limited (HIL) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area. We are currently seeking a Software Architect for a full-time position, remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Job Description:

The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support is provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance, and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the program also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office. The program provides support technology services across the DLA Information Operations Enterprise, the DLA Program Executive Offices (PEO), and all other technology services currently supported through DLA Contracting Services Office (DCSO) acquisitions.

The scope of work is to acquire support services to assist in the accomplishment of the DLA RPA application. Provide RPA development and sustainment support services, to include development of automations utilizing the RPA development applications to model the organization's business processes and execution of automated functional and integration test scripts, design, build, test and deploy new feeds for RPA during each sprint as required, support hosting of environments in an Enterprise Cloud (Azure), support Configuration Management and Release Management processes, use of change management tools such as DLA's Remedy and Enterprise Change Request Tool (ECRT), executing performance testing, server sizing for new capabilities, support the RMF process to maintain application accreditation, creating account requests and Enterprise Change Requests (ECRs) for required account & network changes, provide team to monitor and control RPA Bots in the DLA environment utilizing Industry Standard tools and applications, developing business unit dashboards and reports utilizing multiple Industry Standard RPA tools and applications, update a change management and communication plan, provide integration support and expertise for inclusion of AI into the RPA enterprise, maintain Standards, Guides and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).

This contract covers the assessment, implementation, integration, configuration, event analysis, training, documentation, and assistance to the Government in the implementation and operation of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software to meet Information Assurance (IA) controls and tools to support the DLA enterprise RPA architecture. Utilize Agile Development Methodologies to support all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for this effort. These methods shall adhere to, or help update, the established DLA Enterprise Change Management (ECM) processes throughout the Agile SDLC.

Duties of a Software Architect may include:

• Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software


• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms


• Complete projects in a timely and efficient manner


• Perform feasibility analyses on potential future projects for management


• On occasion, short duration (1-5 days) site visits may be required as authorized by the Government.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Five (5) years relevant experience


• Must possess active IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)


• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
