(Vysnova) is a program management firm that delivers professional and technical services worldwide to governmental and commercial clients. Vysnova staff manages programs and projects primarily within the Public Health, Government Acquisition and Training sectors. We work throughout in the U.S. and overseas including; Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East chiefly for governmental clients, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Defense (DOD), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).


Currently, Vysnova is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Proposal Writer for work at our corporate office/remote.


Location: Landover,MD/Remote



Reports to: Proposal Manager




Location: Vysnova Corporate Office/Remote



The Proposal Writer is a highly skilled and effective communicator that provides writing support across various opportunities within the Business Development department. The writer engages with multiple divisions of the Business Development Team to gather information and participate in writing proposals in response to federal government opportunities.



Specific Tasks include (but are not limited to):



• Reads and reviews requests for proposals (RFPs) in accordance with Vysnova's Proposal Management processes and procedures.


• Provides editing support to proposal documentation prior to submission.


• Provides support in the development of data call responses, corporate overviews, and capabilities assessments.


• Conducts research if needed on RFP technical/functional areas to gain a better understanding of material to be written.


• Works closely with technical staff to translate technical concepts into compelling written and graphic materials.


• Performs research to gain additional insight into the effort being proposed.


• Ensures writing is compliant with the compliance matrix and proposal instructions.


• Collaborates with other professionals (proposal managers, capture managers and subject matter experts [SMEs]) to gather information to obtain the necessary information to clearly articulate through writing a winning strategy, compelling solutions, and substantiated themes.


• Integrates review comments from multiple sources into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and persuasive final product.


• Other duties as assigned by Vysnova.



Additional Duties (including but not limited to the following):




Business Development:



• Attend workshops, conferences, and networking events relevant to Vysnova's work.



Firm Building:



• Work with an internal communications team providing public messages that aligns with the company's business goals and performance.


• Identify operational gaps and/or inefficiencies and provide suggested solutions.



Required Education/Experience/Certifications:



• Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in Communications, English, Journalism preferred (minimum)


• Familiarity with Government solicitations. (preferred).


• Excellent administrative and communication skills.


• Experience working in cross-cultural environments.


• Ability to pass a background / criminal check. Position may require finger printing, and drug screening.


• At least one (1) year of professional experience working with the government or in government contracting.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing with staff at all levels of the organization.


• Excellent written and verbal skills conveyed in English.


• Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.


• Ability to build effective working relationships in-person and remotely.


• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and identify an appropriate response to them.


• Deadline oriented.


• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, to build relationships with partners.


• Ability to interview SMEs and translate resulting material into proposal narrative.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and balance workload.
