Position Summary

This key role within our Transportation Editorial team is an opportunity for a practitioner in the transportation industry to share their knowledge and provide guidance to both our organization and our customers. This role will also provide transportation expertise for Canada through written expression by creating content in line with the individual's areas of expertise.


Job Responsibilities



  • Establishes and develops federal and provincial transportation agency, industry and other relevant contacts through correspondence, phone, and direct personal contact.  Capitalizes on contacts to bring unique and informed perspectives back to the business.

  • Researches, writes, reviews and/or edits material for guides/manuals, handbooks, newsletters and on-line services.

  • Provides transportation (safety & operations) regulatory knowledge, product knowledge and training support to customers via phone and e-mail, webinars, presentations at outside events, and written articles.

  • Suggests new products/services and revisions of existing products/services.

  • Presents at tradeshows, webinars, and other customer-facing events, including taking the lead role on writing and delivering these presentations.

  • Actively seeks to stay current with trends and specific developments in assigned subject areas to facilitate the above responsibilities.

Qualifications


 

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a business, communications or writing field.

  • In lieu of a Bachelors' degree, five years of additional related experience may be considered.

 

Experience:


  • 5+ years in the transportation industry, or 3+ years of transportation leadership experience.

  • Working knowledge of federal and provincial Canadian transportation regulations (hours of service, vehicle equipment, etc.) required. 

  • Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience developing and delivering in-person and remote educational/training programs.


Computer Skills:


  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite

 

Other Requirements:


  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources.

  • Ability to translate technical requirements into layman’s terms.

  • Ability to plan projects and meet deadlines, working both independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements


Work is performed primarily in a home office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.

 

Travel Expectation: Up to 30%.

Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):  Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role in Colorado is $67,000.00 to $82,000.00. Compensation and benefits information for this position is being included in accordance with requirements of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. J. J.
