Job Title: US Training, Application and Support (TAS) Specialist – Training Lead
Job Location: Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta or New York locations

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Lead to oversee the successful management, coordination and execution of training of US end users.  In addition, the successful candidate will focus on continuous improvement and innovation to curriculums and training methods. 

This position may be based in any of the following DGF locations: Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, or New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, manage and execute key training activities (i.e.  Ocean Freight and Air Freight Transportation Management System End User Training, various application training updates, ad-hoc training requests).


• Review and implement new innovation/technology improvements for US training processes.


• Engage with stations in the DHL Global Forwarding network to ensure training topics are communicated and understood.


• Align with US TAS team members to create calendar of regularly scheduled topics.


• Conduct lessons learned sessions and apply learning to future training/projects.


• Identify training needs based on analysis of reports, feedback, etc.


• Ensure compliance to DHL Global Forwarding standard processes and services.


• Engage key stakeholders when creating training sessions (i.e.  US TAS Team, AMER TAS Team, Air Freight/Ocean Freight Product, Finance, GSC, etc.) to ensure process/application alignment.


• Ensure new releases/updates to systems/applications are incorporated into training sessions.

Skills / Requirements:

• BS/BA Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred and 5+ years of operations or product experience in a freight forwarding or international shipping environment; or 7+ years of above mentioned experience.


• Excellent understanding of Air and Ocean freight services and the overall logistics or supply chain industry.


• Knowledge of DHL Global Forwarding systems, tools and processes (e.g. CW1, EDM and DHLi) preferred but not required.


• Proficient in the use of MS-Office:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint – strong overall background in technology/applications.


• Ability to execute/present, organize, manage projects (including directing individuals) under pressure, adhering to deadlines.


• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; able to align resources within all levels of the organization to achieve objectives.


• Strategic thinking, self-directed, high energy and proactive working style.


• Excellent record-keeping skills. Ability to update and maintain current and dated information.


• Fluent in English communication (verbal/written).


• Experience in management of training portfolios, teaching or exposure to innovative training technologies are a plus.
