Position Summary


Under the direction of Project Manager, Advancia Aeronautics is seeking a technician to be part of a mobile COVID-19 test unit team to support Advancia' s goal to identify Covid-19 Coronavirus symptoms and eradicate the disease. The mobile unit will consist of supplies required to support either a walk-up or drive-up testing site, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and required sample collection supplies. Customers will self-administer an Emergency Use Authorized Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) nasal swab sample collection. The team will be responsible for, but not limited to, site setup and tear down, assist customers with electronic registration, provide sample collection supplies to customers for self-collection, observing and/or assisting customers with specimen collection and packaging and delivery for overnight shipment of samples to the company laboratory. With this position, mobile units (within Military installations) will operate at various locations in the United States, to include, Virginia, California, North Carolina, Florida and Maryland.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

All staff will be available and reports to work on time and ensures enough supplies and equipment are on hand to operate the testing site for at least 2 weeks in advance. Ensures all equipment is in good working order, checks the test area for any safety issues and notifies the Point of Contact for further assessment. Please note: Advancia maintains staff, supplies, equipment and answers all questions pertaining to testing.


All staff are aware of their responsibilities and performing duties according to their job description, assisting other coworkers, wearing clean scrubs, PPE and exhibits professionalism at all times. If there are any questions or concerns, please direct them to the COVID-19 Site Lead/Team Lead. If an issue needs to be elevated to the Supervisor or Project Manager, you are expected to do so.


The employee shall provide logistical and operational support of a mobile test unit in various locations on a military base to provide mass asymptomatic test collection for the COVID-19 (collecting up to 240 samples daily). Duties include, but not limited to:

- Staff training on observing, specimen collecting, and protocols

- Setup of collection point site within 30 minutes


- Assist with registration of test participants using automated methods and means

- Observing, assisting customers, and assisting team members

- Assemble test collection kits with company provided supplies to meet demands of daily operations

- Collection of completed test samples from customers

- Packaging of test samples for daily shipment

- Drop off test samples to pre-identified carrier for overnight transportation to company laboratory

- Supply/Inventory management of equipment, testing supplies and PPE

- Tear down of collection point site within 30 minutes

- Prepare mobile unit for next shift sample collection

- Secure mobile unit at the various location

- Travel will be required to various locations in the United States, to include Virginia, California, North Carolina, Florida and Maryland.


Education and Licensure Requirements


EDUCATION and LICENSURE:

*Must be a United States Citizen or authorized to work in the United States

*Prefer a current, unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant license or (1) one-year equivalent experience.

*Must have current drivers' license in good standing and reliable transportation.

*Must be able to pass a government background check.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

*The employee will provide services Monday through Friday at various times as required by task order including 30-minute meal break except on Federal holidays as defined by the Office of Personnel Management

*All work will be performed outdoors. Always maintain hydration during the day.

*Requires periodic walking and standing.

*Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend.

*Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time.

*Must be able to lift approximately 10-15 pounds (books, equipment, medical supplies, etc.).

- Travel will be required to various locations in the United States, to include Virginia, California, North Carolina, Florida and Maryland.
