A Validation Development/Research Engineer job in Mossville, IL is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting design, development and maintenance of emissions controls systems and design of aftertreatment components. You will need Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Creo modeling and Simulate experience. This is a great contract opportunity with an established and reputable company.

Candidate Responsibilities:

* The position will interact with a global cross functional team to complete design projects.
* Candidate will be supporting staff engineers for new product designs, attending meetings.
* Design components, working with Manufacturing Engineers for design for manufacturability, preparing drawings for release, participating in project meetings, maintaining component designs, solving quality issues and improving product reliability and cost.
* Activities could include supporting the manufacturing facility (on-site in Pontiac, Illinois) as new product is introduced.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Engineering
* 3-5 years experience in design or product development,
* Creo, Problem Resolution, Critical Thinking, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
* Strong communication (verbal & written)
* Team player working with global diverse team including operations & engineering, strong organizational skills, attention to detail

Desired Qualifications:

* Creo Simulate
* Ability to interpret FEA results
* Familiar with engine & emissions control hardware
* Experience with after treatment systems & designs tools experience
