What You'll Do

The Pennsylvania Institute for Community Living (PICL) is looking for a Clinical Supervisor to join our team! The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising a clinical team comprised of Case Managers and Peer Specialists. The administrative role is crucial to strengthening the infrastructure for the clinical service delivery system. The Clinical Supervisor completes required documentation, reports, and statistics; works with family, as well as family-teams and local care providers, coordinating care, transition, follow-up services and safety planning; provides consultative services for people in multiple programs in the community. The clinical supervisor provides daily groups, individual psychotherapy, and residential treatment planning with residents.



Responsibilities/Duties




* Will supervise other staff including but not limited to: Therapists, Counselors, Case Managers, Certified Peer Specialists, and/or Psychiatrists and participate in the completion of clinical and administrative documentation in accordance with RHD and program requirements.

* Provide clinical and practical supervision and support to members of multidisciplinary team during and after hours as part of an on-call rotation.

* Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance Team to prepare for compliance/licensure/accreditation reviews and facilitate ongoing education.

* Support staff with meeting goals within a community or residential environment and meeting defined fiscal benchmarks.

* Develop and implement policies and procedures for the program relevant to clinical services and care.

* Assist with developing, revision and implementation of operating policies and procedures.

* Work directly with funders providing professional level response to specific requirements set by and data asked for by funders.

* Ensure thorough orientation and on-going training/staff development plans and evaluations of new and existing staff as prescribed in the policies and procedures.

* Facilitate weekly peer, clinical and/or case management team meetings as required for their specific program.

* Provide crisis support planning/implementation of meaningful consultation to manage crisis situations while on site and after hours/shared on-call.

* Maintain own caseload.

* Complete other related duties as assigned.



Required Experience



* Five years' experience in the field of Human Services, with at least 2 years' supervisory experience.

* Experience with trauma informed care, DBT, CBT and other modalities of treatment relevant client care.



Required Education



* Master's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or similarly related field



Required Qualifications



* Understanding of crisis management and conflict resolution techniques relevant to a professional clinical environment.

* Strong insight and judgement, ability to make quick and clinically accurate decisions for best practice

About the Program

The Pennsylvania Institute for Community Living (PICL) is a 15-bed modified therapeutic community residential program that offers integrated self-help, recovery-oriented treatment along with psychiatric rehabilitation, 24-hour staffing and placement in permanent housing. PICL offers all components of Psychiatric Rehabilitation in its day-to-day treatment with specific lesson plans and groups organized around functional skill sets in the following areas: social skills, vocational skills, tenancy skill building such as budgeting and financial planning, time management, emotional expression and coping skills. The rehabilitative process focuses on each individual's strengths and is a collaborative process between staff members and the residents. The program usually takes 12-18 months for residents to reach their recovery focused goals.
