Regional Planning is tasked with promoting Corporate Sustainability within Honda in North America. The Sustainability Planning Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating cross organization teams to advance the Honda Motor 2030 Vision and achieve Honda’s Corporate sustainability goals.
The Sustainability Planning lead will:
Lead Cross-organization Corporate Action Items (Corporate Sustainability Priorities) – projects aimed at improving Honda’s Corporate Sustainability related to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance)
Be responsible for leading the Fatality Reduction Corporate Action Item (current Corporate Action Item priority), contributing to Honda’s 2050 goal of zero fatalities in 2W (motorcycle) /4W (automobile) by 2050 and building Honda’s Safety reputation and image. The focus of this Action Item will be on traffic safety awareness, training, and the resources necessary to reduce and finally eliminate fatalities
Interface with Honda Motor colleagues to ensure NA’s direction and activity remains coordinated and complementary to Honda Motor’s direction or activity
Support the Regional Planning team in other areas of Sustainability, Business Planning, and other special projects
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Be accountable for developing the system that leads and coordinates the NA Corporate Action Items
Be accountable for project leadership of AHM Safety projects
Bachelor’s degree in business, sustainability, or engineering related field or equivalent work experience
10 years in a corporate environment, preferably with experience in Corporate Sustainability or an ESG related field (Environment, Social, Governance)
5 years of project management experience
Experience in strategy creation, and project leadership
Preferably, experience coordinating projects or operations across Honda’s North American organization
