Main Objective:

The Field Audit & Operations Analyst position operates within the Field Operations Audit Team to ensure manageability of the operations planning process at the Corporate, Regional and Agency levels relating to Field Inventory Audits. Assists in the gathering and aggregating of inventory levels relating to field inventory audits as well as the collection, analysis, and review of all data relating to inventory variances.  This role must possess analytical ability to assist in problem solving and developing conclusions using qualitative and quantitative skills. The Field Audit and Operations Analyst will assist audit management team with daily tasks, and will effectively communicate analytical results to teams and other leaders, as well as review and understand sales/financial data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Provide audit support from pre-audit planning phase thru completion of audit and summary of audit results, including actual counting when necessary.

  2. Participate in the pre-audit planning meetings both internal and external (third party vendor) audits.

  3. Assist with the upload, download and synchronization of all inventory data records, including the preparation of variance reports and isolate discrepancies of count vs. book inventory.

  4. Resolve count discrepancies with the team in accordance with required timeline, ensure sufficient evidence is available to close reconciliation i.e.: photos, count sheets.

  5. Follow protocol to develop and archive required audit files to serve as evidence of completed audits.

  6. Support manager and supervisors in gathering data to support internal audit and external audit requests such as inventory transactions, transfers, loaners, purchases, returns, and buybacks.

  7. Analyze Agency Inventory on hands prior to the transition/termination process to ensure that the Agencies follow the Arthrex procedures, identify any issues in the process, and complete the transfer and billing of all consignment inventory and instruments.

  8. Communicate updates to Field Audits Leadership or Manager, Field Logistics Services in regard to any inventory issues with the transition/termination process.

  9. Promptly and accurately respond to ad hoc reporting requests of our internal partners.

  10. Analyze and qualitatively review data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  11. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Education/ Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting

  • Inventory auditing experience preferred; preferably in a medical device environment.

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

Knowledge


  • General knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.

  • Complete knowledge of Field Inventory Audit processes and best practices including a general understanding of financial reconciliation of consignment and field inventory.

Reasoning Ability


  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize task, and handle simultaneous assignment under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must contain a high level of attention to detail

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook email experience.

  • Must be a team player, work well unsupervised and be self-motivated.

  • Ability to perform detailed analytics to the degree required for the position.

  • Ability to book travel accommodations as necessary using Concur.

  • Escalates issues to senior or management as appropriate.

  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
