Description/Job Summary

Family House NOW is a long-term residential treatment facility for women experiencing mental illness and chemical dependence, and their children. Special components address drug/alcohol addiction, mental illness, life skills, and parenting skills, as well as prevention and intervention for the children. Family House NOW is one of only a few programs nationwide that works with mother and child in a residential treatment setting.

Family House NOW is seeking a Child Development Specialist Lead .

Child Development Specialist Lead:

1. 
   

   Clinical Responsibilities:

   
   

   A. Facilitate weekly Parent Education Group

   
   

   B.Facilitate weekly Abuse and Neglect Prevention Group

   
   

   C. Facilitate one individual parenting sessionper week as assigned

   
   

   D. Participate in Clinical Case Consultation,Treatment Plan Update meetings and clinical supervision as assigned

   
   

   E. Provide Crisis Intervention

   
   

   F. Meet Weekly in Individual or Group PlayTherapy with assigned Children

   
   

   G. Provide Milieu Therapy as required

   
   

   
   

   
   



2. Documentation Responsibilities:

1. Document all group and individual sessions




2. Document any significant participant interaction




3. Complete initial treatment plan within 14-days ofadult Participant admittance; update treatment plans every thirty daysthereafter.




4. Complete children's treatment plan 30-days afteradmittance; update treatment plan; every six months thereafter




5. Complete discharge summary within 5-days ofparticipants discharge.




6. Act as Contact Person for coordination of children'sservices and visits.



7. 
   

   Document correspondence concerning children.

   
   

   
   

   
   

Requirements: BA in Social Work; Early Childhood Education or Related Field

Preferred Drivers License.

Required Experience

1 years of experience in D/A residential treatment preferred

Excellent Communication and organization skills required

Required Education

Bachelors Degree in Social Services required
