The UX Designer uses their professional experience, concepts and company objectives to complete complex projects and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use website and/or mobile app designs used by Otter Products customers all over the world.

Responsibilities

Design for UX and develop testing roadmap based on user and business needs in collaboration with marketing, brand/design and ecommerce teams.
• Develop and define user task flow, interactions, and UI specifications with wireframes to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts.


• Perform qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, perceptions and preferences, and use learning to tune up existing features, unlock new opportunities and maximize potentials for on-going site improvements.


• Demonstrate a strong, hands-on proficiency in experience design, creating simple, elegant, engaging solutions.


• Act as bridge between marketing, brand/creative, IT and ecommerce, ensuring requirements from all teams are met and reflected in the final design. At the same time, act as an advocate for our users and ensure user needs are met above all.


• Facilitate collaboration sessions between internal teams and/or outside agencies, guiding UX strategy from methodologies to execution.


• Be the resident UX design expert to guide the design and development process, ensuring the final product minimizes risk, maximizes potential and fulfills all requirements.


• Work closely with Merchandisers to fulfill business requirements, identify opportunities and resolve known issues on the site by developing recommendations for improvements through testing and iteration.


• Work closely with Web Analysts to assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing/user research and reviewing analytics data.


• Work closely with Visual Designers and Creative Directors to incorporate branding requirements on the site and ensure consistency in visual elements through a cohesive web style guide across desktop, tablet and mobile.


• Work closely with Front-End Developers by supporting specifications on design, interaction and function to ensure smooth delivery from static mockup to working prototypes and fully functional web pages.


• Execute tasks and projects effectively while adhering to strict deadlines. Experience working cross functionally in a matrix environment is a plus.


• Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.


• Minimum of three years of experience with UX design (wireframe, user flow, and information architecture) required.

USD $78,000.00/Yr.

For US Based Roles Only - Compensation Range Maximum

USD $105,000.00/Yr.
