Job Description



This position is contingent upon contract award.

Torch Technologies is seeking experienced candidates to provide military weapon systems analysis support for Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) programs in support of Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) missions. Candidates must be able to develop and apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems. Candidates will use web services architectures, web interfaces, database management systems, and knowledge discovery software to provide technical consultation and recommend updates or corrections in technical applications and analysis. Candidates must understand military equipment and will manage weapon signatures data, interface with internal data systems, perform analysis/studies, and assist in coordinating and assigning DIEQPs for the Intelligence Community. Preferred candidates have experience using or developing one or more of the following programs


  • Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB)

  • Next Generation EWIRDB Systems (NGES)

  • Military Equipment Parametrics and Engineering Database (MEPED)

  • Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB)

  • Machine-Assisted Analysis Rapid-Repository System (MARS)

  • Electronic Order-of-Battle (EOB)

  • Defensive Missile Order-of-Battle (DMOB)

Candidates will examine and develop solutions for data extraction and management and will assist IMD mission managers with planning initiatives and production requirements in coordination across the IMD community. The successful candidates must possess a strong foundation in weapon system analysis, knowledge-management systems, web interfaces, and data mining.







Job Requirements



BS degree or higher in computer science, engineering, math, or physics from an accredited university. Candidate must have12 years of related experience. The preferred candidate will have experience in leading software development teams and/or in one or more of the following areas


  • Military systems

  • Exploitation, performance, and specification analysis design

  • Operational characterization

  • Dynamic database operations design

  • Information parsing dissemination

  • Modeling design and testing

  • Simulation design of experiments (DOE)

  • Simulation Monte Carlo batch processing environments

The work site is at customer facilities on Redstone Arsenal, AL. Position is contingent on contract award and requires that candidate obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance in order to access classified information systems. Inability to obtain or maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Some travel may be required for this position.
