Job Description:

Enrollment Representative
Job Responsibilities:


  • Receive inbound calls related to enrollment process from internal and external clients; provide information as it relates to client inquiry.

  • Assemble and review new and existing client enrollment packets are completed accurately.

  • Review enrollment packets to ensure data is entered accurately prior to submission to insurance payers.

  • Mail and track enrollment packets to clients and/or insurance payers; provide updates and status of enrollment, as needed.

  • Research and resolve simple client or insurance payer enrollment issues or concerns; escalate more complex inquiries or issues to appropriate representative.

  • Update and review client enrollment progress through internal tracking applications.

  • Participate in 'go live" timetables with internal sales and support teams.

  • Follow prescribed standard operating procedures (SOP) throughout client and insurance payer enrollment process.

  • Work with client support teams related to technical issues due to client enrollment errors or changes.



Education:
Required:

  • High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED).


Preferred:

  • Some college coursework.



Experience:
Required:

  • 6 months in a customer service environment.

  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.



Licenses/Certifications:
Preferred:

  • 1+ year experience in customer service environment.

  • Previous experience in a client or insurance payer enrollment environment.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) with basic proficiency skills in creating, editing, and saving shared documents/files.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook -- basic proficiency in email organization, calendar scheduling, and task reminders.

  • Knowledge and understanding of customer service expectations within a client focused organization.

  • Ability to multitask and navigate various software applications during the normal course of work.

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external clients through various communication resources such as telephone, email, and chat.


  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to identify issues and apply problem solving skills.

  • Ability to demonstration interpersonal skills with internal and external clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to work in a team environment employing a hands-on approach with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal).

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect.

Summary:

The EDI Enrollment Representative I will provide first level contact for internal and external clients and will perform day-to-day transactional responsibilities including but not limited to data entry into various software applications and tracking databases, verify accuracy of data, enrollment submissions, and tracking enrollment packages. EDI Enrollment Representative I will prepare, process, and maintain client and insurance payer enrollments and provide simple, first level administrative and/or technical support to clients throughout the enrollment process.
