Job Description

Visa University is changing the learning culture at Visa. We are a CEO supported start-up team within a large, global organization. We are a team of experts in our respective disciplines, but more importantly, we strive to harness our collective expertise in the most effective way for the benefit of learners. We combine rigor, data, and subject matter expertise with intuition and common sense of what will be most effective for the business. We like to prototype, launch and evaluate. We are comfortable learning from our mistakes.

The Learning Consultant will play a crucial role in understanding the learning objectives and driving and implementing learning solutions for internal technology stakeholders in the NA & LAC regions. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Technology College and regional technology leadership team members to gain a deep understanding of capabilities required to grow and optimize Visa's talent strategy. This role will report into the Regional Head of Learning - NA Region.

Responsibilities


  • Build trusted partnerships and manage relationships with regional technology leadership team and other stakeholders to understand their goals and needs, gain buy in to proposed initiatives and drive initiative success

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and VU Shared Services to develop and administer regional training needs assessments, analyze organizational challenges, and work with the internal Colleges to define strategies and identify solutions that drive measurable results.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on VU's product catalogue and learning solutions that have already been developed for global implementation

  • On an exception basis, develop and deliver regional learning solutions and identify and manage local strategic external partner relationships to support these programs.

  • Champion deployment of learning strategies and programs for the North American Region

  • Be a champion of Visa's learning culture and values and help cultivate these across the region.

  • Effectively communicates timelines and learning and development requirements to business partners and management team.

  • Establish and maintains collaborative, solution-oriented relationships with cross functional leaders and partners.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)

  • 8+ years' experience consulting with Technology leaders on technical learning needs

  • Experience with supporting Engineering, Data Science, and other Technical verticals

  • Strong aptitude for working with broad scope of technical, business, and professional subject matter; quick and agile learner

  • Digital payments background preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, consult and influence senior leaders, business partners, internal and external customers, and colleagues to drive business results.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization.

  • Effective track record of using metrics and analytics to drive decision making and increased value generation (sales, satisfaction surveys, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience as a change advocate with keen ability to drive innovation resulting in measurable impact of learning solutions.

  • Experience in vendor management and selection

  • Experience in Training Needs Analysis (TNA), diagnostics, supporting L&D solutions, and evaluation of L&D projects

  • Excellent collaborator, extremely comfortable working in matrixed environment; able to engage a broad stakeholder community in solution design and delivery

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds

Travel Requirements:

The incumbent may be required to travel, up to 10%
