Key Accountabilities

Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance, may become actively involved as required to meet schedules and resolve problems. Administer Company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Supports Company quality control programs to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are in compliance with best practices food safety and quality standards. Conduct Department Training program and verify skill requirements which could include results of the exit criteria to prove comprehension. This could be in the form of written, verbal and/or demonstration for compliance.

Position Relationships

Work closely with: Plant department managers and personnel toward maintaining high levels of customer service; Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout the Company.

Responsibilities of the position consist of but are not limited to:


  • Sign in on your line Staffing sheet

  • Ensure Daily Shift Start-up & Safety Meetings are conducted.

  • Follow Company Safety Rules and LOTO procedures

  • Responsible for ensuring properly completing required Sanitation Documents.

  • Ensure that plant and equipment cleaning requirements are fulfilled; and report issues.

  • Practice excellent sanitation procedures which support company's requirments.

  • Perform regular inventories of sanitation chemicals and non-chemical supplies.

  • Report falts on all sanitation equipment.

  • This position is also responsible for food safety and legality.

  • Supports Company Safety Programs to ensure all procedures are in compliance with Safety Best Practices

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

  • Complete and document training to required staff..

  • Confers with Production, QA & Maintenance personnel on sanitation and works to improve communication and interdepartmental support.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Required


  • 1-2 year food process sanitation operator experience

  • High school education and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safe chemical handling, forklift operations, and the chemistry of proper cleaning

Preferred


  • Previous sanitation experience

  • Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications

  • This location is a 24 hour/7 day manufacturing operation.

  • Ability to work in a hot, cold, wet, frozen, dusty and loud environment

  • Must comply with all personnel safety policies and procedures at all time

  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for task at hand (i.e. ear plugs, bump cap, safety glasses and/or face shields)

  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts

  • Required to maintain assigned work areas clean and organized

  • Keep all equipment in sanitary condition

  • Follows all work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Ability to work different shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
