Director, Product Management job description:

Reporting to the Managing Director, Digital Product Strategy, the Director will oversee the execution and operations of the digital product roadmap for HBR.org and its related products, such as learning products and other extensions of the HBR brand.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Leading three agile teams, ensuring strong project execution aligned with HBR digital strategy.

  • Communicating the HBR digital product roadmap with key stakeholders in editorial, consumer marketing, and analytics to identify opportunities, dependencies, and resource needs.

  • Participating in and leading cross-functional initiatives with a focus on user and reader experience.

  • Managing a team of product and project managers, ensuring clear paths for career development and an understanding of organizational goals.

  • Building and managing relationships with external partners.

  • Working with HBR's Agile PM to optimize HBR's processes for digital development.

  • Staying current with best practices in web development and broader trends in Digital, to highlight connections to our business needs.




Requirements:


  • Five years' experience as a senior product manager, associate director of product or director of product leading an agile group, preferably within media or educational technology.

  • Proven experience leading multi-month, cross-silo initiatives.

  • A four-year college degree.

  • A passion for media, and an abiding commitment to delivering high-quality digital work.

  • Strong communication skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving.
