Job Description:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an Army Safety Specialist to provide key safety leadership on matters pertaining to all aspects pertaining to implementing new technologies into US Army operations. Prepare safety programs policies and manuals for new and existing Army processes. Prepare and monitor safety programs and manuals for new and existing DoD technical units. Coordinate and integrate required ATEC policies to ensure Army wide safety compliance. Provide safety, quality, workers compensation, and environmental guidance/audits for clients as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards. The right candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree with a minimum of five (5) years total experience in any combination: Quality Assurance, ISO-9000, Safety, Environmental Compliance.


Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Position Details:



  • Provide key safety leadership on matters pertaining to all aspects pertaining to implementing new technologies into US Army operations.

  • Prepare safety programs policies and manuals for new and existing Army processes.

  • Prepare and monitor safety programs and manuals for new and existing DoD technical units.

  • Coordinate and integrate required ATEC policies to ensure Army wide safety compliance.

  • Provide safety, quality, workers compensation, and environmental guidance/audits for clients as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards. 

 


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • 5-10 years’ experience in developing and implementing safety plans and recommendations

  • In depth knowledge of US Army Safety requirements

  • Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO-9000 and MIL-Q-9858

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance from the US Department of Defense. 

  • Experience providing documentation and reviews for US Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)

Desired Qualifications:



  • Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of Defense.
