FLS Technician

Job Description Summary

The FLS Technician is responsible for assisting in the management of building fire alarm and suppression systems in a safe and efficient manner. This position is expected to perform maintenance duties in support of the facility as an individual contributor under the direction of management.

Job Description

• Maintains building fire alarm system components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, strobes, etc.




• Maintains building fire sprinkler system components such as switches, valves & trim rings




• Initiates and completes work orders in a timely manner




• Supervises and directs vendors who perform FLS repairs and maintenance




• Obtains quotes for repairs from vendors, and verifies completion of work.




• Performs repairs as directed and as required by management and building/client requirements




• Coordinates with Environmental, Health and Safety team to identify and resolve FLS system deficiencies




• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
