Sayres provides engineering and management support to PMW 160 to fulfill architecture, analysis, interoperability assessments, engineering, Configuration Management (CM), technical management services, Science and Technology, Verification, Validation, and Certification, Software Engineering Support, Cost Engineering and Economic Analysis, Reliability and Systems Safety Assurance Engineering and Analysis, Integration, and Interoperability (I&I), Future Capabilities and new construction ships.


Responsibilities


In support of PMW 160, the Configuration Manager will:



  • Support the implementation and/or maintenance of the following: CM Policy and Process, Configuration and Data Management Plan, CM Work Instructions, CDRL Management, CM Data and Document Management, As-Built Baseline,

  • Manage and track CDRL delivery items, facilitates delivery item review between Government and Supplier, coordinate with CM Team on baseline tracking, support APM/SE in identification and controlling configuration items and baselines, facilitate technical documentation reviews, and process ECRs, ICRs, NCRs.


Required Experience and Abilities



  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience with IT configuration management in the Defense Industry/Department of the Navy or comparable Government Agencies.

  • Ability to conduct configuration management planning, oversight, execution, tracking, and reporting.

  • Ability to describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.

  • Ability to conduct configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.

  • Ability to conduct configuration audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software. Supports software quality assurance process audits.


Education, Work Experience, and Skills Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four (4) additional years of Defense Industry/DoN IT configuration management experience in addition to the minimum required experience (for a total of eight (8) years).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project is desired

  • SECRET clearance
