Overview

To assist the Bulk Oil Supervisor in his overall responsibility for the safe efficient operation of the shift.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Obtain shift priorities from the Shift Supervisor.
2. Assist in supervising and assigning required work to each Field Operator and Dock Operator on shift.
3. Issuing and monitoring all department supplies.
4. Assist in the preparation of all related paperwork.
5. Enforcing all company procedures and policies and initiating required disciplinary action.
6. Provide any required direction to ensure all Field Operator and Dock Operators on the shift perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
7. Assist in ensuring adequate staffing is available for the next shift.
8. Must maintain a working knowledge of all product pipelines, valves, tanks, piers, manifolds and jumpers.
9. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
(A) High School Diploma
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:
(A) Valid Driver's license.
(B) Minimum of one-year prior experience at this facility.
(C) TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials)
Equipment Used in Job Performance:
A) Company Vehicles
B) Two-way radios
C) Safety equipment
D) Respirators
E) Hand Tools
F) MSDS
G) Telephone
H) Allied office equipment
I) Computers and software

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:
1. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
2. Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
3. Ability to work in an office environment.
4. Ability to work in the outside element.
5. Ability to make decisions in a variable environment.
6. Ability to communicate with all other terminal departments.
7. Ability to perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and moderate lifting. Must be able to work in confined spaces, over water and not be afraid of heights.
8. Basic mathematics. (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions)
9. Ability to wear and use a respirator.
10. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities Relating to Hazardous Substances:
Must oversee the Field Operations and Dock Operators to ensure the safe and efficient movement and storage of hazardous substances into, out of and between tanks, barges, ships and railcars without harm to the environment, facility or personnel.
