Job Description:

OVERVIEW:

Performs set up and operation of microprocessor-based injection molding machinery and equipment; inventories raw materials; and other duties necessary to ensure quality injection molded case products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Sets up and operates a microprocessor-based injection molding machine and equipment. Setups are complex and require the ability to utilize two material molding components, robotics and other state-of-the-artmanufacturing equipment in the molding of case products.

  • Works from routine engineering prints, Bills of Material, assembly drawings, established procedures and practices, written and/or verbal instructions. Uses hand tools, small power tools, electrical hoists, material moving equipment, hand pallet rack, fork trucks, etc.

  • Sets up injection molding machine and related systems for production of injection molded cases and injection molded accessories.

  • Provides for raw materials procurement and inventory.

  • Interfaces with other departments including engineering, maintenance, and technical group, to install and ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment and obtain on-going support as required for effective operations.

  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

  • Maintains daily production and other records as required.

  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Qualifications include:


  • Education:High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in injection molding processes.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with robotics.

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.

  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
