Job Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Endoscopy Unit, provides care for diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterological equipment. Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the Endoscopy Unit equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Sterile processing training course strongly preferred. On the job training may be provided.

Experience
Previous sterile processing or instrument technician experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
BLS healthcare provider is required in order for staff to participate in the on-call rotation.

Skills
Strong organizational skill.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
