Ironclad Technology Services LLC has an opening for a Training and Exercise Specialist to join our growing company in the Arlington, VA area. The training and exercise program shall emphasize the knowledge and skills that will be employed by the ESF#2 Emergency Communications Team at National, state, local, tribal and territorial levels and the CISA'S emergency relocation group (ERG). This is in response to an all-hazard emergency, or activation of the CIOCC's continuity of operations plan (COOP), or activation of a federal continuity of Government (COG) plan. Due to the nature of the work, only U.S. Citizens will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Identify training topics based on an assessment of individual critiques and event After Action Reports that reveal strengths or shortcomings in the performance of critical tasks.
Participate in the selection, coordination and collaboration with subject matter experts, who shall provide specialized training.
Revise operations training requirements through interviews, observations, and review of training and evaluations.
Define long-term exercise objectives that shall be the basis for the exercise objectives for specific exercise events.
Provide a milestone calendar with a chronological sequence for implementation of the plan.
Support the NCC in the development and implementation of a training program that conforms to the standards of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
Assist NCC staff in planning and conducting emergency response exercises based on training objectives collectively defined by the exercise sponsor and the ESF#2 Support Agencies represented in the ESF#2 Interagency Coordination Working Group.
Assist NCC with exercise planning; conduct an evaluation for functional exercises and tabletop exercise events. The events can range from functional/command post exercises to tabletop exercises, from facilitated discussions to system exercises involving hands-on application of procedures and equipment used in emergency response situations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of relevant experience with Exercise Planning
Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) preferred
Travel
Ability to travel within 50 miles of the government site
Ability to travel within the United States to support the mission
Physical Demands
Remains in a sitting/stationary position continually or almost continually during the work day
Operates a computer and performs desk-based computer tasks continually; frequently viewing a computer screen
Rarely lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects and/or equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds
