Master's degree in related field required.
Juris Doctorate preferred.

Three (3) years of work experience in conducting workplace and/or discrimination investigations.

Three (3) years of work experience in Institutional Equity, Employee Relations, Law, Compliance, or related filed.




Preferred qualifications:
Title IX Coordinator certification and Title IX Investigation certification preferred

Compensation
Starting salary is $65,670- $75,670 annually. A competitive benefit package is included.

Class Summary

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, in the Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusion, responsible for coordinating and monitoring the College's EEO program oversight and delivery of a system-wide program, in collaboration with other system stakeholders, to prevent, reduce, and remediate all forms of discrimination, including harassment, retaliation, in all educational and employment programs and activities.



Typical Essential Duties

Oversight of discrimination complaints to include the maintenance of the discrimination complaint process. Duties include conducting investigations, drafting investigative reports, conferring with appropriate stakeholders, developing and implementing related training.


Receive and process student, faculty, and staff inquiries or complaints of harassing behavior, other discriminatory behavior, Title IX violations, or issues related to EEO/AA policies and procedures.


Serve as the Title IX Coordinator for the district. Develop, implement and maintain Title IX policies, procedures, processes. Oversee the prompt, effective, and impartial investigation and resolution of sex and gender discrimination complaints. Work closely with campus coordinators assigned to handle student and employee complaints, investigations, and possible discipline/sanctions.


Provide leadership and strategic direction to key stakeholders in order to identify and implement any necessary program requirements to eliminate and address discrimination in MCC's educational and employment environments.

Coordination of training and educational programs for the campus community related to their rights and responsibilities under Title IX as well as the services and grievance procedures available to them and coordinate in-service training to all employees concerning EEO/AA and Title IX.


Develop and disseminate educational materials, including brochures, posters, and Web-based materials that inform members of the MCC community about discrimination and federal and state anti-discrimination rights, laws, and responsibilities.


Evaluate and understand current federal, state, and local statutory discrimination frameworks. Monitor and evaluate statutory changes, court decisions, administrative guidance, or other sources that may impact future compliance.

Organize and maintain grievance files, reports, and other compiled records regarding complaints of sexual harassment and other discriminatory practices.


Create and deliver comprehensive training and guidance programs to members of the MCC community regarding issues of discrimination, sexual misconduct, sexual violence, gender discrimination, dating, and domestic violence


Coordinate with other departments and administrators to develop and direct an ongoing series of workshops, seminars, and training associated with institutional compliance.
