Weare looking to hire two Sr. Mechanics to work out of our Service location inBellingham, WA. Bellinghamis a coastal city in Washington State, near the Canadian border. The Sr. Mechanic is an experienced mechanicthat performs and directs the build, repairs and overhauls of flushingcomponents. The Sr. Mechanic shall maintain a professional and positiveattitude, ensuring all work performed is of the highest quality.TheSr. Mechanic shall train and guide junior mechanics to ensure customer needsare met.

PrincipleDuties and Responsibilities

ROLE


  • Ability to perform, supervise and review inspection results.

  • Ability to perform and supervise repairs and overhauls of flushing rig components.

  • Ability to perform repairs and overhauls of flushing equipment on marine vessels or at customer sites when necessary.

  • Assigned to shop duties and related administration.

  • Ability to work independently.


TECHNICAL

  • Perform and evaluate work related tasks in accordance with company product-line tech manuals.

  • Document work performed in daily service reports.

  • Document and analyze results of tests and inspections.


SAFETY

  • Ensure all work-related tasks are conducted in accordance with published safety guidelines.

  • Monitor and ensure use of appropriate PPE per company guidelines.

  • Immediately report all work-related accidents or injuries to the appropriate personnel.

  • Complete annual safety training requirements.

  • Review near miss or potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.


ADMINISTRATION

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines.

  • Provide timecards, expense reports, mileage reports, project reports.

  • Maintain personal tool inventory in accordance with company policy.

  • Maintain company property according to company policies.

  • Document use of Vehicle, credit cards, test equipment, laptop, and pager.

  • Provide input for evaluating subordinates.

  • Review reading sheets and specifications for accuracy.


CUSTOMERSATISFACTION

  • Ensure high quality workmanship is being performed.

  • Be responsive to customer needs and act as an FM ambassador of customer.

  • Provide answers to all questions and concerns.


PERFORMANCE

  • Recommend process changes to ensure all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance of company dress code and safety regulations.

  • Maintain professional attitude and appearance.



Allother duties as assigned

Qualifications and Educational Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED required; ASDT (Associate of Applied Science Diesel Technology) preferred

  • Required experience: Six years military experience in a related field - navy engineman - or equivalent industry experience, and Minimum two years' experience as Flushing Mechanic

  • Advanced knowledge of flushing arrays

  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
