SOLitude offers a wide variety of services including fishery programs, algae and aquatic weed control, mechanical harvesting/hydro-raking, installation/maintenance of fountains and aeration systems, and water quality testing. Responsibilities What do our Erosion Control Specialist do? Our Erosion Control specialists responsibilities include a wide variety of work around lakes, streams, canals, wetlands, and hillside erosion areas. Erosion control and shoreline restoration work will be performed through various methods, which may require cutting, raking, chipping, grading, staking, sodding, etc. Erosion Control Specialists will also assist with planting for assigned sites. They are also required to travel and cover a considerable amount of road and highways. (70% travel both in/outside of Florida). What do you need? High School or Equivalent Previous experience landscape grade and turf installation, marine construction, concrete construction, golf course construction or renovation a plus This position does require the laborer to work outdoors in Florida's hot and humid weather. Field work requires frequent lifting and carrying of heavy objects and other tools and objects that may weigh 50 lb. or more. Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, and balancing are physical requirements of employee's work Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search Why Choose Rentokil?
