The National Reactor Innovation Center is looking for a Communications Lead. We're helping numerous startups demonstrate their bold new ideas through testing and demonstration at Idaho National Laboratory, which leads the nation's nuclear energy R&D. Telework is negotiable, but we're surrounded by some of the West's most iconic mountains, rivers and national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Teton)!
Responsibilities Include:
The role serves a key function in the lab's mission to advance and expand nuclear energy technologies to enhance U.S. competitiveness and a sustainable energy future.
The successful candidate will advise and consult on best practices for sharing the organization's message with broad audiences. The liaison will help the organization's experts tailor their messages to effectively reach target audiences. The role includes proposing, planning, preparing, finalizing and helping distribute internal and external communication efforts or products. This work will enhance and protect INL's reputation with INL leadership, DOE customers and news media professionals.
The communications specialist is embedded within a research directorate or program and reports to the Manager for Science Communications.
