The Spirit of the Position:

Do you love helping people? Are you energetic and fast on your feet? Well then, we are looking for you. We are hiring an Ambassador to greet and create a welcoming atmosphere for our employees, guests, and clients at our City of Walnut Creek locations.

A LAZ Ambassador plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our guests see upon arrival, and the last person our guests see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

What Will I Do?

This position has been developed to assist our clients with directing traffic, providing direction and to keep the traffic line moving smoothly. The Ambassador is a greeter and performs the job in a caring and friendly manner with all visitors. In addition, works closely with maintenance staff to monitor the garages with daily walk throughs and ensure the garages are clean and the equipment is in good working order.

The Details:


  • Part-Time, generally Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11am-7:30pm

  • Must wear medical mask when required

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English language, and must present friendly, outgoing attitude.

  • $14.00 per hour

  • Shift starts immediately

Responsibilities:


  • Welcoming guests with a warm smile and offering to help him/her/them to find the appropriate destination within the area quickly.

  • Monitor the continual movement of lines and direct traffic when needed.

  • Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.

  • Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots - sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash.

  • Responsible for equipment maintenance and repairs - broken gates, ticket jams, adding and collecting tickets etc.

  • Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on ambassador checklist are completed efficiently and timely.

  • Assist customers as needed over the phone, intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.

  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.

  • Assist with special events and cashiering functions as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Skills:


  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.

  • Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.

  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:


  • Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, rain, etc.

  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
