Product Configuration Engineer :

What do you get to do in this position?

• Develop product (Panelboard) selection and configuration content and translate that content into quotation bill of material, pricing, delivery, catalog numbers, and AutoCAD drawings for internal and external customers 11%.
• Program the product selector based on configuration logic using Product Modeler Workbench tool 11%.
• Study Datasheets (DS) and Application Notes (AN) containing electrical engineering design aspects of the product such as System Voltage, Fault Current, kVA Rating of Transformer, Resistance, Power factor, Impedance, Trip Ampacity, Circuit breaker type, product dimensions, and enclosure types 11%.
• Resolve Catalog, pricing, and drawing issues reported from sources such as SE Advantage Salesforce and Quote Specialists, through troubleshooting and communication with the developers in the team and end users in a timely manner 11%.
• Perform regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the UI of web-based Panelboard product selector during all stages of code deployment such as Development, QA, and Production 11%.
• Actively participate in daily Agile Scrum meetings with the Scrum Master to discuss any bugs/tasks/functionality enhancements related to product selector 5%.
• Gain knowledge of Schneider Electric/Square D electrical distribution and control products 10%.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Operations, and Information Systems to develop product configurator logic and tools for use in engineering processes 5%.
• Communicate with Offer Managers (Lighting and Power Distribution Panelboards), Global Supply Chain (GSC), and stakeholders during panelboard projects cycle 5%.
• Work with extensive and personalized instructions from Schneider managers and supervisors, as well as achieve the yearly goals including both Personal Development and Schneider Digital mandatory training 10%.
• Develop Project management skills and manage task plans for team activities using Software tools such as JIRA and Confluence 10%.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related and 3 years of work experience in Medium Voltage (MV) & Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Equipment Manufacturing.

Also must have work experience with:

(1). Electrical Distribution, Switchgear and Protection, Electrical Power Generation, and Digital Electronics;

(2). Object Oriented Programming;

(3). Software Development Cycle and Testing Methodologies;

(4). Creating 3D designs with AutoCAD and Creo/Pro-E;

(5). Sales Quotations and Lean Manufacturing Processes for Medium Voltage (MV) & Low Voltage (LV) electrical distribution equipment.
