The individual in this position is a registry eligible Technician with a minimum of 2 years experience performing EEG studies. A recent graduate of a CAAHEP accredited END school may be considered in lieu of 2-year experience requirement. Experience in LTM, AEEG and Evoked Potential Studies a plus. Willing and capable of being trained in all modalities currently performed in the lab. MUST be willing and capable of being trained in IOM, intraoperative monitoring. This position has an ON-CALL rotation requirement, must be capable and available to cover ON-CALL on a rotation basis with existing staff.This position has a training requirement, must have the ability to train students rotating through the lab in the various END modalities.

Responsibilities

The Electro/Neurodiagnostic Technician will perform the following tests:

    EEG
  • LTME

  • SSEP

  • VEP

  • BAER

  • AEEG

  • Q Sweat

  • Visual Field

  • ANS

  • TCD

  • WADA

  • IOM.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 years technical experience performing EEG in-patient and out-patient procedures. A recent graduate of a CAAHEP accredited END school may be considered in lieu of 2-years experience.

  • Candidates must meet eligibility criteria for sitting for an ABRET registration, in the process of meeting the eligibility criteria or in the process of obtaining a registration within 18 months of hire date.

Education / Education Specialization

  • High School Graduate required. Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited END Program, Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree preferred.

Technical / Equipment:


  • Proficiency with Electroencephalograph (EEG) a MUST;

  • Experience in any of the following a PLUS: Long-Term Epilepsy Monitoring Ambulatory EEG Evoked Potential studies (SSEP, VEP, BAER) Autonomic nervous system testing (ANS) Quantative Sudomotor Axon Reflex Test (Q-SART) Transcranial Doppler (TCD) Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) Quantitative Visual Field Studies WADA Testing Cortical Mapping
