Nemours is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Outpatient Program in Bryn Mawr, and the Nemours/Alfred I Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.

Primary Job Function
Provides Speech-Language Pathology evaluations, interventions and patient/family education under the prescription of a physician. Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice.

Pediatric experience is required, feeding experience is preferred.

This is a salaried position with full-time benefits for 30-hours worked per week. Hours: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Dual state licensure required for training and patient care at the Nemours/Alfred I Dupont Hospital for Children, Bryn Mawr based on staffing/census.

Requirements


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent from an ASHA accredited university
  • Hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or in process of applying for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Must hold a primary license in PA
  • A second license in DE will be required for all clinical positions
  • Must submit license or proof of application submission with 2 weeks of job acceptance, but this second license is not required to be active at the start of employment.

All clinical staff will maintain dual licensure (DE, PA)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of date of hire and must be maintained for duration of employment.
  • Member of professional specialty organizations (ASHA, PA Speech & Hearing Association) preferred.
  • Pediatric experience is required.
  • Experience in feeding is preferred .
