Position Description:

AMETEK, Inc. Specialty Metal Products is seeking an individual with specialized machining experience to join their team. Proficient mechanical knowledge in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but we do offer extensive training!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Has the ability to set up and operates all slitting machines in the department.
2. Selects appropriate slitter knife setup and is able to produce required finished slit strip for all products slit in the department.
3. Performs quality checks to insure product meets internal and customer specifications using various measuring devices.
4. Performs all safety and quality checks on the equipment and perform required preventive maintenance and other maintenance as required.

Position Requirements:
* Safety conscious and able to assess risks
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Solid mathematical skills
* Desire to use hands and learn new machinery and tooling
* Comfortable working in a multi-machine job shop environment
* A high school diploma or GED certification.
