The Quality Standards Technical Sr Writer will effectively interpret detailed regulatory information and ensure procedural compliance to relevant industry standards. The Quality Standards Technical Sr Writer will also collaborate on projects, develop content, and mange draft reviews through final edit, approval, and release processes. This person is responsible for ongoing monitoring of relevant industry standards (existing and new) and incorporating their requirements into the Quality System. The Quality Standards Technical Sr Writer will also perform internal Quality Systems audits for various business units within the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Create top quality end-user documents that are regulatory/technically sound and written clearly and concisely while maintaining adherence to the associated standards and the corporate message.


• Work with cross-functional groups, manage workflows, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.


• Maintain working knowledge of business objectives for each group that has quality system documents.


• Attend project meetings and make appropriate changes to procedures and other quality documents as required.


• Identifying gaps where additional procedural requirements are needed, and create appropriate updates or new procedures to close these gaps.


• Audit quality processes to external standards and internal procedures and work instructions.


• Develop audit plans and reports including identification of any nonconformance with a clear, concise statements and identified objective evidence to show noncompliance.


• Special projects as identified and assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.


• Demonstrated technical writing competence. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proofreading skills.


• Strong ability to interpret and disseminate relevant standards requirements and information.


• Comprehensive understanding of the technical writing process.


• Proven strong writing and editing skills .


• Basic understanding of medical device engineering and manufacturing processes.

Education/Experience Requirements

• BS concentration in life sciences, technical/engineering or related field, preferred, BA in Journalism, Communications, English or similar studies with technical experience considered. 


• 5+ yrs of technical experience creating and developing regulatory compliant standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 5%

Compensation Range: $74,600-$100.900
