Your Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager for Identity and Access Management located in Moline, IL you will lead the security engineering teams that enable John Deere's stakeholders to access to our digital solutions, focusing on the management of identities. In this role, you will


  • Act as a servant leader for the engineering teams responsible for the timely provisioning and management of digital identities
  • Provide team leadership, including staffing, performance management, career development, and recognition of team members.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, especially the business functions and engineering teams that support key user groups, such as employees, customers, dealers, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to understand the vision, strategy, and customer for the area of responsibility.

In addition you will:


  • Influencethe technical dimensions of the roadmap, including technology selection, implementation, and maintenance, to deliver a secure and effective customer experience.
  • Drive team culture of security, quality, agility, and continuous improvement, along with monitoring product health, technical debt and key team metrics.
  • Understand financial implications of technology choices and makes economically sound decisions. Provides input in the operating budget and has responsibility for managing it.
  • Coordinate the use of internal technical support/resources and suppliers to provide innovative, high quality solutions, as well as effective troubleshooting and maintenance.

What Skills You Need


  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience
  • 3+ years of experience with operational support and/or agile environment
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (with or without direct reports)
  • 2+ years of experience implementing or improving Information Security
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience improving solution quality, efficiency, and/or cost
  • Proven ability to teach and coach technical teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous technical upskilling

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management solutions
  • Experience improving end user satisfaction and experience
  • Experience with audit activities
  • Experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
  • Experience with software development

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Cybersecurity certification(s), such as CISSP
