OVERVIEW


The Mobile App Developer will be a member of the Point Of Sales development team and will report to the IT Manager. They will interact and work closely with a team of product owners, business analysts, developers, and testers.  This position requires strong technical knowledge in iOS and Android application development. They will be the key person to enhance and support the existing native Mobile apps for ShopHQ.


 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.

  • Analyze business requirements and design/develop technical solutions optimal to the business needs.

  • Work in a team environment to develop, test, and publish changes.

  • Collaborate with the business team to define app features.

  • Publish application on App Store.

  • Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and performance of the applications.

  • Provide production support when necessary.

  • Able to multi-task and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work independently and as a team member.

  • Able to work a regular and reliable full-time schedule as provided by management.

  • It is essential that the duties of this role be performed on-site at iMedia’s facility.

 


QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.); or equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.

  • 3-4 years of experience in the full life cycle of native Android and iOS application development.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Kotlin & Swift.

  • Strong knowledge in working with remote data via REST and JSON.

  • Good working knowledge in Android SDK and Cocoa Touch.

  • Good experience with Android Studio and XCode.

  • Experience with Git.

  • Experience working with Agile, waterfall development.

  • Experience with various third-party libraries and API.

  • Experience with push notifications and cloud messaging.

  • A portfolio of iOS/Android apps in the Play Store/app store is a plus.

  • Experience with declarative UI frameworks (e.g. SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose) is a plus.

  • .NET development experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC is a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
