Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Architect with expertise in Microservices and API with Java and Springboot . The position will primarily be responsible for building new microservices and APIs using Java, Springboot, API gateways and other related technologies. The position requires candidate to be well versed with all phases of SDLC and specifically have experience in Scrum and/or Extreme Programming Agile frameworks. As a Technology Architect, this position will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; develop design of application, provide regular support/guidance to project teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chicago, IL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience with Java (version 8 or later), Microservices, APIs using Java Spring boot
• U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 - 4 years experience in KAFKA
• Experience in Hbase, HDInsight
• Extensive experience in Azure and AWS cloud services
• Experience in Agile programs using Extreme Programming
• Experience in Test Driven Development and pair programming
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in Healthcare domain
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Worked to in a complex global environment
• Experience in DevOps and CI CD pipeline and tooling
• Exposure and experience in cloud technologies
• Experience in REST and SOAP microservices and APIs
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
