Maintain and repair all plant equipment and facilities in a way that achieves customer satisfaction. All work must be performed in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
Third shift position (11:30 PM to 8:00 AM) Sunday - Thursday with some Saturday work required
Starting pay: $29.81
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance activities on a shift basis to ensure optimum utilization of materials and manpower to maximize production safety, quality and efficiency
Review work orders to ensure materials are available and develop manpower and scheduling estimates. Initiate work orders when work cannot be performed immediately
Communicate and work with operators, other mechanics, senior mechanics and supervisors on maintenance problems and potential problems
Actively participate in team and plant meetings and activities
Follow all safety, housekeeping and regulatory agency requirements
Perform preventative maintenance and inspection functions and take the initiative to ensure these programs are modified and updated as needed
Participate in training to improve and maintain technical skills, teamwork, creativity and communication skills
All other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Strong mechanical aptitude combined with good diagnostic skills
Excellent technical skills and knowledge of all crafts, including mechanical, electrical and technical
Good problem solving, troubleshooting and creativity skills are required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment
Basic computer skills
Flexibility and willingness to rotate positions within Maintenance Department
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques. Ability to lift a minimum of sixty pounds
