The Supervisor--Stores oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the Mill's Storeroom processes functions and stores personnel. This role works closely with the Sr. Purchasing Manager to ensure materials are ordered, received, handled, stored, issued, shipped, and cycled in accordance to departmental procedures.

Manage MRP (inventory) biweekly reporting, and physical inventory stock outs
Develop annual departmental goals which support local/divisional goals
Responsible for oversight and supervision of all storeroom personnel
Manage the external inventory repair process for materials to include processing repair purchase orders, evaluating repair bids from approved repair facilities, and working in conjunction with Maintenance/Reliability department managers to finalize repairs on critical spare items
Participate and assist with corporate project initiatives
Oversee safety activities of the stores, warehouse, and related facilities
Develop, deliver, and facilitate training initiatives for stores and purchasing personnel
Responsible for maintaining overall building structure and repairs processes
Communicate with vendors on service calls, repair issues, and requested materials
Manage inventory control and cycle count processes
Act as the departmental liaison with the Purchasing and Accounting departments
Manage and monitor the daily overall storeroom inventory value to assure accuracy
Direct the overall training systems and requirements for the storeroom department
Manage storeroom requisitions and confirm orders
Oversee and manage all receipts, issues, freight bills, free stock, return goods memo processes.
Monitor and conduct annual slow moving or obsolescence review and the removal of obsolescence from inventory upon approval from mill supervision
Acts as primary backup for Purchasing Manager during vacancies

Required Experience
Required Characteristics
Bachelor's degree required
3 years of experience in storeroom, material procurement, inventory management, or related fields
Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with direct reports
Three (3) years of Storeroom and shipping/receiving experience
Two (2) years of experience in SAP or comparable warehousing system
Ability to work with employees, interdepartmental teams, and organizational leadership across the enterprise to effectively complete goals
Valid Driver License
No more than one (1) moving violation in the last three (3) years
No accidents in which you were at fault in the last seven (7) years
No DWIs or DUIs on driving record
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively coach, motivate and communicate with all levels of organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background screening, drug test, and previous employment references.
Desired Characteristics
Three (3) years of experience in buyer role
Two (2) years of hands-on experience utilizing SAP in a purchasing/buyer capacity
Knowledge/experience with 5-S, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
